Excerpt of 'The First Wish'

It dangled in the midnight breeze, that one silent whisper in the dead of night. The stillness calming the suffered land, which during day is struck with life. An evening of the Autumn twilight, when all the leaves bled their sorrows falling to their open graves, cast its rays betwixt the woods, landing on a shiny thing the young man had not understood. And so in his curiosity, or a charm which on him fell, lured by the strangest thing, lured as if by a spell. He walked with pride and poise on through the win...

Child and the Moon

Written mid 2017 So it seems, every night, as a dream, She brings to me my respite and misery. Ever-growing, strong and bright; twenty-eight. A dream of light: to live without, I’ve learned to hate. Shrouded breast, a sweet mist blessed, On a sea of clouds she rests. A cycle complete, the ends now meet. What else could satiate? The night is long, yet she is gone, The cold night sings its song. For now she wrests a novel feat. Alas, bygones; I’ll wait, Respectfully and full of glee Behold: the newest twenty-eight.
